I finished the door trim in the guest room, item #18 on
the list. Each of the doors was too close to a corner for full-width trim, so I had to rip lumber to fit. It looks a little goofy, but I've seen this situation in houses where it was original to the house.

I love old looking framework on doors. Nothing like it.....you have done a great job. I know what you mean about the trim work looking odd. The guys who did the sheet rock were probably thinking ....just enough room for trim....not thinking of wider older looking styles, which are what your house has...and looks so much better. Next comes a coat of paint or two?
